What status does it show on passport portal?

Ooh! Interesting, the status changed today on Passport Seva to "Surrender certificate has been printed. " But BLS still shows same. Maybe by tomm, it will be updated in BLS too. Phew! finally.

Yes but I get an error "pls enter valid application number"

I selected SC as application type, then entered same 23-**** application number and DOB. Even tried without hyphen after 23 still nothing. Am I missing something here?

No I was using some other link. Thank you for sharing.

You can login into the portal and check application status from inside it. Not sure how that will work in your case.

Unfortunately BLS Toronto filled the application for me as they were very picky and didn't accepted my original submission.

BLS Portal will be the only tracking available for you then.

How many days it took to come to this stage?

4 weeks + 2 days approx. from the time it was at the Embassy. Add 2 more days for my walkin sub at BLS MTL.

That is a glitch. Even I could not track my app (I filled it by myself) via the TRACK status.
2 ways to track:
1) Via BLS Site: https://www.blsindia-canada.com/ . Pick Toronto as your jurisdiction and goto TRACK application.
2) Via the Embassy/ Passport Seva site: https://portal3.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html . You need to create a login and you should see your application associated to your passport (hopefully). The Track Status on this site doesn't work & gives the same error as u got.
