What happened in your case? I am about to be in the same situation. So, any info would be great.

Still waiting. Passport has been at Ottawa consulate for 2 weeks now.

Mine is not dispatched yet, still shows passport has been printed.

My Timeline till now:
7th Jan - 2022 - Sent Postal Application
8th Jan - 2022 - Delivered to BLS Brampton
11th Jan - 2022 - Received Email from Bls that passport has been received
17th Jan - 2022 - In Transit from BLS To Consulate General
18th Jan - 2022 - Processing at Consulate general
4th Feb 2022 - Under Review at Consulate General
8th Feb 2022 - Passport print has been initiated

I don't need the passport urgently so I guess its fine. But I hope I get it by April.

Got the passport delivered yesterday. Here’s my timeline:

14th Dec -2021 - sent postal application under tatkal
20th Dec - 2021 - passport returned since change in marital status/spouse info not eligible under tatkal
** had to cancel DD’s, get new ones since the fees for normal is different

24th Dec - 2021 - re-Sent Postal Application under normal
28th Dec - 2021 - Delivered to BLS Brampton
04th Jan - 2022 - Application received date updated
06th Jan - 2022 - In Transit from BLS To Consulate General
09th Jan - 2022 - Processing at Consulate general
(Embassy portal)
20th Jan 2022 - Under Review at Consulate General
24th Jan 2022 - Passport print has been initiated
25th Jan 2022 - passport has been printed

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if is covered before but I wanted your help with one thing.

I've Indian Passport and am a Canadian PR holder. My passport is expiring in June 2022.

I'm traveling to India last week of February 2022.

My questions were:-

1. My passport won't be expired yet when i return back mid March so will I get any trouble coming back to Canada with just a few months of passport expiry date left?

2. If i renew my passport in India do I have to advise Canada Immigration about it or is my old Passport linked to current PR?

Any help is appreciated.

Even after delivered passport, status on indian passport website is still passport has been printed or change ???

Nothing
today BLS new website says "Minimum 8 weeks" for passport renewal.
I am under an extreme pressure situation where i have to travel for job next week and i badly need the passport

Even the old website always said 8 weeks processing time. If you needed sooner, you needed to apply tatkaal.

Any idea if i need to book an appointment for pick-up by self as well? I don;t want to pay 35$ courier charges when BLS is 5 mins drive.
