Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Vancouver is still processing end of september/october start.

They have 40 days lead time, mine just changed to print initiated...Submitted to BLS on Sep 29th.

Thanks for the update. In that case, I will still have to wait another week or so.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I submitted my postal application on 08 October and I I haven't received any e-mail for police verification yet. Is it a mandatory step when renewal is done?

I am not sure , but I have heard many cases where PV was not initiated for passport renewals.

Application processed since September 16 at HCI Ottawa.. postal Ottawa application
and now its stuck at HCI even after they received the passport back after print on November 1.

Latest status at Portal 6 : "Your passport has been printed and being forwarded to Embassy/Consulate. The Embassy/Consulate will contact you once they receive the passport for dispatch."

any idea if anyone have why taking this long...

I have applied on Oct 12, 2024 and as of Today status is "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate." How Do I Contact the Embassy on Sampark. I have to Travel Urgently.

Hello Everyone, This is urgent, hoping I will get some response soon, even normal response/ suggestion would help me.

I wanted to go to India before renewing this passport but my Father suggested me to renew from here only, I did it from BLS Toronto office on 25th September.

Its been more then 20 days now but I don't see any status change after - "EMP_ACTION": "Sent To Go". Please check the complete status below from the service response.

I regret making this decision of renewing it here because my family needs me in India (for a personal situation) and I am not sure what to do now? My passport is expiring on April 24th.

Hi Hardik, Where did you get this Status from? I am checking on the Passport seva website and I am seeing only under processing at Embassy.

Some movement!!. You will soon see a tracking number along with a dispatched message after it's printed and that will be the final status on the passport website. Mostly Its DHL that they use to dispatch the passport. Once you see the tracking number, then track it via DHL website. No email will be sent from the Embassy or BLS.
DHL will deliver it to the embassy and then they will further send it to BLS and then to you.

@popoye , now the status is Dispatched via Courier. does it mean dispatched from consulate to BLS or from BLS to me ? Also , the track status link and the track application after you sign in to your account is not in sync .

It means that the passport has been dispatched from New Delhi to Consulate. The consulate will receive it in 2-3 days. If you have the tracking number, track it via the carrier website(DHL). Once the Consulate receives it, they will dispatch it to BLS in a day or two. Same for BLS. Excluding Weekends.
Once BLS received it, they will send you a text message as well.

I applied on October 9th through BLS walkin. Not sure what is going on, Status is stuck since October 15th. I have flight coming up on November 29 and really getting worried. Is there any way I can request the consulate to fast track it ? If not can I atleast request to handover the old passport ?

BLS Ottawa or Toronto? BLS Ottawa states minimum 8 weeks processing time, so the earliest your passport would be ready is December 4th.
