What was your timeline? Mine is stuck at 'under review' since 08 Oct. No PV initiated mail either

1. Go to https://portal4.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html
2. Right click on the page and click on inspect from the menu
3. There will be browser related developer tools which will open adjust the height of developer tools so that you will be able to click on Track status dialog
4. Click on the Track status dialog and fill out the information regarding your application and click Track application status button
5. Now in the browser developer tools you can see network tab which is basically 4th option in chrome click on it
6. Now you can see a service call that is made with name trackStatusForFileNoNew click on it and this service returns a response which contains all the status updates on your application
7. If you scroll through the service response you will be able to see statusMap -> StatusId object when you click on it it will again return a list of all updates on your application and who performed that action and on what date it is updated.

Checking the node 0, the status description is "granting initiated". What does that mean ?

My PV was done on Oct 23. How long does it take for it to show in the Inspect mode that PV is complete? It is still showing as "PV Initiated" in Node 0.

Your pv done after Local police station send your pv ssp office, after ssp office send your pv passport India office, when they can approve your pv in system india time, also you can cheack inspect mode when is approved pv, after few haur canada day time same day passport status change printing initiated ,
Processing time one to 10 days

Status updated to "Print has been initiated for passport" today Oct 26.

Sep 22, 2022 - Purolator delivered application at BLS Surrey.
Oct 12, 2022 - Application received on BLS website. Didn't check BLS website after Oct 6. Status might have posted earlier.
Oct 14, 2022 - Processing at Consulate General on BLS website.
Oct 15, 2022 - Received Police Verification Initiated email.
Oct 23, 2022 - Police Verification completed.
Oct 26, 2022 - Status on Passport Seva - "Print has been initiated for passport".

My application is “processing at consulate general” since Oct 4th. How many days it will normally take to initiate police verification ?

I haven’t got any PV initiated email either ?

Is there any way we can walk-in consulate to check status and expedite process ?

My flights are on Dec 3rd - fingers crossed.

If you got done PV in the recent times, then PV might not be needed for you now.

Maybe you can try emailing/tweeting the consulate and check if that has been the status for many weeks now.

I have done PCC on June 2020 and haven’t exited Canada after that. I hope they don’t do a PV now.

I enquired via Sampark portal - no response yet.

Here is my timeline
Oct 11 purolator collected documents.
Oct 12 delivered
Oct 15 status changed to aplication received
Oct 21 bls to consulate
Oct 22 on passport seva application received and same is under process
Oct 25 on bls application under process
I have two passports for renewal both for minor.
Just wanted to check as it is enough time for the passport tobe renewed, as ill be travelling on jan 25 2023. Thank you.

01 Feb 2022: Applied: (BLS Brampton)
02 Feb 2022 - In Transit from BLS To Consulate General - BLS Status
03 Feb 2022 - Processing at Consulate General - BLS Status
08 Feb 2022 - Sent for Police Verification to local PS - Passport India Portal Status in Inspect Mode
14 Mar 2022 - Police Verification Clear - Passport India Portal Status in Inspect Mode
14 Mar 2022 - Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate - Passport India Portal Status

How long it would take after this step? Worried as I have my ticket booked on Apr first week.

I am exactly in similar situation. I am on Canadian PR and was asked by BLS to have my primary/printable address as Canadian address. I am not sure if there will be police verification back in India or not considering printable address is going to be Canadian. Anyone faced similar situation?
I have submitted my application on 04 Oct 2022 (Walkin) and today (27th Oct 2022) my status is showing as -
Status - Processing at Consulate General (on BLS)
Status - Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.

My question/concern is should I send my parents to check out in PS if my application has arrived considering will it even require PV in Inida or nor, any suggestions are more than appreciated. Thanks!
