Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Good one everyone. My passport is set to expire in December 25, 2025. When would be the earliest time I can apply for passport renewal? BLS website says up-to 1 year, but would they accept it before 1 year if I just apply right now?

Today HCI sent it to BLS ottawa, and later BLS dispatched via courier,, but BLS tracking doesnt show any tracking number.. Hopefully, i will receive it tomorrow.

did you get tracking number by any chance? i see dispatched via courier as well

My status was showing "Print has been initiated" now again the status changed to "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate." Under Inspect element its showing like "Escalated to CPPF" . Could you please anyone tell what does it mean?

Hope you get it before your flight. I think your flight is on Saturday ? Mine got updated to Ready for Collection today. Going to BLS for pickup.

Looks like there was a delay in print and it got escalated due to that. You should hopefully receive it in next 10 days.

no i did not,

i used ARN application number on purolator it worked as a tracking number. good luck

Hi Al,

I applied for Passport renewal on 8th Oct from Toronto.
The status on Passport portal was "Print initiated" until last week but now it has again changed to "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate".

And the inspect status on the portal shows "Stop Printing for CPPFAdmin".

Any idea what does this status mean ?
