Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

17th Jan - Under Process. File No. Generated
23th Jan - Police Verification (PV) Initiated
25th Jan - Police Verification (PV) Completed
25th Jan - Print Initiated

In my case -

Applied on 8th Jan via postal service
Since 23rd Jan it is showing "Passport Application alongwith fee has been received and same is under processing at Embassy/Consulate"

Any idea how long does it take to move to next step?

Same situation with me. I submitted my application at BLS Winnipeg on the 14th, and since January 20th, the status has been stuck on 'Passport is printed and will be delivered shortly.' The StatusMap on the Portal is

But BLS just updated their status about an hour and a half ago to 'In Transit from the Consulate General to the BLS Centre' but Portal still says the same 'Dispatch Initiated' so hopefully, it will arrive soon.

UPDATE on my situation:
This is so odd and weird, StatusMap on Portal still shows no update since January 20th but BLS status change today to "Dispatched via Courier" with Purolator tracking number and saying it'll be delivered tomorrow.

My passport was finally delivered today. I would say don't focus on the passport portal updates as they don't seem to be accurate. BLS tracking details are correct.

I submitted my application for renewal passport on Dec 18th. But my status on Bls tracking is still at Processing at consulate from last three week. PCC submitted on Jan 10th. Is there any chance of delayed update of status. I tired to check status on here too: https://portal3.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html but could not work me.

Any suggestions.

Hello, on the application which address you mentioned as printable address? is it canadian address or indian address? i am also in the process of renewing my son.

@Amsan1982 Thanks buddy, I tried using these steps unable to see any move, I believe the next step is creation of file number but it is stuck from 23rd Jan -"Passport Application alongwith fee has been received and same is under processing at Consulate/Embassy"

hi all, i m applying for my 5 year old daughter passport renewal, there is a Annexure E to be submitted which is to be signed by the applicant. Can anyone help how to proceed with annexure e when submtting for minor, is it thumb impression of the child or signed by parent

Hi there,
Your kid needs to sign it and the application if they are over 5 years. Or less than 5 years, print impression is fine. For Annexure E , let your kid sign and then both parents sign on the bottom of the page.
