INDIA - PASSPORT SUBMISSION - APRIL/ MAY 2021

Mine is stuck at IRCC since Aug 4. I already had a visa inside valid till Sept 2021. Could that be the cause for delay? Saw people whose PP was also delivered to IRCC on Aug 4 and they got their stamped PP back already. Really confused what should I do.

You can't download counterfoil. POE is downloadable tho.

Hey all! I can't seem to track my application using the tracking ID on the VFS tracking portal (https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-GPTWave1/). Whenever I put in the particulars, it says no record found. Advice?

Hello, After passport pickup, how did you get the passport tracking number?

Mine is online however if I could reach there before 17th Sep I could change my course to in-person option I believe. In a way online classes are not worth the money, So I am not feeling to attend a whole Semester online.

Over that there are signs of a third wave happening soon in India. So if that happens then almost every option there is now might get closed, which will be a big disaster, at least for me. Which are the reasons why I am planning to gtfo here soon.

Is there a risk of getting turned away by the CBSA at the airport if we are registered for online classes? I have received an email from the university suggesting such a scenario. Has this ever happened to anyone?

ETA as per IRCC is required for Visa exempt individuals (Like Canada PR Holders, US Citizens and some other class of folks who dont need a visa to enter Canada) : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/facts.html

Per my understanding showing your Passport, Study permit visa stamp, PoE and Letter of Acceptance/Enrollment at your university is good enough, apart from stuff like GIC advice, latest India bank statements, all document originals and so on (Same bunch of docs you may have submitted at the time of application)

Correct me if I am wrong on the eTA thingy.

It is unheard of recently but it can happen. CBSA officers have the final say on our entry to Canada, So it is all up to them. Carry your enrollment letter while you travel to be safe.
