our rep used to work for ircc and cic and this request was for my husband to continue his or application during the process but I guess that 2.5 pounds some how help and it was our favour my hubby got his or card last week

No one said they did but someone in our group was delayed over 2 yrs because of an error, the MP is who got it looked after because she tried several times and nothing was ever done! Doctor kept saying medicals were sent when they werent...... MP abolutely have a direct contact, i know my MP does. They will assist me to get ready for my interview when i getthe date

I personally know two families that were helped by their MP, the MP was able to speak on behalf of the sponsor and in both cases they received notification in a few days. It could be a coincidence but there are some MP's that have pull. Doesn't hurt to try!
It is nice to know that some MP's help however my MP said he could not help with our application but could call and get information after the application was beyond the wait time allocated. We applied July 11,2014 and was interviewed Jan4,2016. Denied March 22,2016. Appealed April 22,2016 ADR Dec 20,2016. CIC call center agent said we should get visa in August 2017. More then 3 years in the system . So those that get help are fortunate
