I am a bit pissed for the writing section as I know I followed all the rules, format, tone and I used a lot of uncommon words. I am debating I should ask for a remark but they say you shouldn't if one of your sections was two bands above another.
what does it mean by two bands difference between sections?
how does it matter for remarking?
i have 2.5 bands difference in two sections.. as i got 6.5 in speaking.. so should i go for remarking or not?
Don't take tension for Writing if you are securing the minimum requirements u needed for immigration purpose.
Remark is of no use just wastage of money ...last time i went for it it came unchanged and then i realized there was two band difference which i didn't know about earlier.
Congratulations and be happy ...ignore writing criteria... They are very hard in marking the writing part.
The reason why I wanted to remark writing is that if I would get 8 in writing too I would have a very good chance of getting the Australian PR too, but yeah, I'm pretty happy I got the required scores. This is my second time doing the test and I got the listening from 7.5 to 8. That was the part which had me retake the exam. I did 15 listening sample tests and just one reading test. What surprised me is that I went from 7 to 9 in reading.
What I read online is that if you get a 2 band difference and up between sections they will recheck the speaking and the writing so basically there's a smaller chance to get an improved result in the remark.
