IELTS for Spouse

Hi ,

My husband and I are applying for a PR . I am also working as a Software Engineer .

Could someone please let me know if IELTS is required for both or just my husband since he is the principal applicant.

Appreciate your help.

IELTS is only required for the principal applicant. However if you want points for the spouse's language abilities, then the spouse must take IELTS as well.

I have one query regarding Adaptability points.
My spouse has secured IELTS score of L=5.5, R= 4.0, W=6.5, S=6.5 Overall=5.5 in March, 2013.
Can we get 5 points for her?
