I am a PR and baby born outside Canada

Hello everyone!

I am really confused at the moment. I submitted a TRV application for my baby who was born outside Canada. He's just 5 months old now and I am not able to leave him since he's breastfed. The application was refused stating it doesn't seem he will leave Canada after his visit.

At this point I'm not sure what to do because I need to go back to Canada and I cannot leave my child. Any advice on what I can do?

Can you do one of the following:

1) While you are away, find someone who can provide human milk, bottled and feed your child
2) Try to get a TRP (temporary resident permit) for your child from the visa office. Once you got the document, the child can go with you to Canada.

I too applied for my new born baby on March 14th 2022.
I am not sure what is the VO

No, it's in Jamaica. The application was done online.

Did you apply in new IRCC portal ? on your own or using consultant ?
What was the duration of stay mentioned for your baby in the application ?
