Hi peeps! I would like to ask because my daughter was born outside the Canada and planning to move in Canada permanently on March 2016... Problem was I cannot apply her a PR because me and my wife has a work obligation outside Canada.. Can I apply a visit visa for my daughter and from there upon arrival can we apply her a PR? How does the process goes? I am just worried that I cannot get my daughter with us in Canada... Please help.. Thanks
No, you cannot apply a visit visa for your daughter. You, however, can apply a temporary resident permit for her at the consulate/embassy.

If you are inside Canada, you would have sponsor him/her for permanent resident status. You would need to contact the embassy /consulate about the processing time for TRP.
