How to update address?

Hello everyone,

My boyfriend and I currently have a spousal sponsorship application in progress. He's American, and currently visiting me in Canada - when we submitted the application our mailing address was in Germany, however, now he needs to update his address.
Our application is being processed in Ottawa, however, I can't figure out how to submit anything to have his address updated?

Two options, feel free to use both.

1. Send a case specific enquiry to Ottawa
2. Check ECAS with the applicant's details (surname, date of birth, place of birth) and in there click Update this mailing address

Be sure to provide identifying info in option 1 so they can locate and update your application.

Can we give my Canadian address as his home address as well? He's here officially as a visitor (although will have to either leave and come back or apply to extend his visitor status quite soon) Or does his home address need to be US since he's American?

His home address and the mailing address are different things.

Pretty sure the mailing list can be wherever you like, though of course it helps if it's somewhere you'll actually be able to receive anything sent there.
