I dont think so that mail is of much use.
Becoz i sent them one query in november 17. And got reply after 1 month. I beleive that mail id is flooded with enquiry mails

As other member already said i m also having same fear
That now there are many holidays
But i m thinking positively that holiday only for 2 days in next week 25th and 26th.
Hence after that they can process our applications

@mark56, I understand from previous conversation that , you also need to travel in January First week. I'm also in the same situation. Hence on Wednesday 27th Dec, when VFS & High commission will be open, I have decided to send a Request letter with Flight ticket of International travel as attachment. VFS Mumbai suggested me this way, & now as 10days are over, we can think of such letter. You need to submit this letter to VFS & they will send it officially to High commission in Delhi.
You can think about this way for you.

My husband submitted on dec 7th, it reached delhi visa office on dec 8th, now its been almost 14 days, 10 working days, still no updates, im getting worried, when he enquired the vfs said 10 - 15 working days,,,,
