How long will CIC take to return my passport?

Passport received in Ottawa: March 16 2019
Status Changed on CIC Website: March 26 2019
Return envelope tracking: not activated

Its been 6 weeks, Anyone know anything?

By phone. Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays). To speak to an agent, navigate through the automated messages by pressing 3-4-1-0.

I called them, they were missing my return shipping label, I need to send that to ottawa mail or online. Im doing that.

How the hell they lost the return shipping envelop ? - i wish you could have called them earlier. we suggest you to call them a week ago.

Label or envolve? I sent mine yesterday but lady from Canada post took of the tracking sticker from return package and told me it’s already in system

My CIC online status still "in process". Since I need my passport for traveling purpose in two weeks, eager to know when I can expect my passport to be back.

My return label is a two-day delivery from Canada to US.

This wait is making me anxious. But my application just got finalized and approved on May 31st. I thought the tracking number for the return envelope would be activated today. But looks like it can take days (even weeks and months!) for activation to happen and for the return of the passport. So I guess I'll wait until this week. Thanks for sharing!

Updated my timeline too. my return tracking number got activated last night (June 3rd), and as of this morning, the package is already in my city, so I should get the package later today if there are no other issues.

My application was finalized and approved last Friday, May 31st. Full timeline below.

Hi all..I sent my passport with Canada Xpresspost post on May 29th, they couldn't locate my package for a few days and as such my package wasn't delivered until June 4th. There hasn't been any movement since. It was to get my PR Visa and COPR...weird question, but can they change their mind??
