I receive my CPR today, and my husband and I are planning to flagpole this weekend at the nearest border crossing.

I already have a job offer from a place that I've been volunteering at, and I was wondering how long it would be before I receive my Social Insurance number? I'm not even sure if I need it to be able to work legally, I'm just curious! :D. Thanks.

You do need a SIN to work. It is fast and easy. You go in and will have your number the same day. You need to bring your CORP. We also had a letter from the bank proving address, but I'm not positive if that is necessary.

Wow, thanks. I thought we had to wait for it.

I'm going to bring CPR, my visa extension, the sponsorship approval, and my CSQ. :P

Oh, and my passport.

You have to wait about 10 days for the actual card, but u get the number same day, and that's what u need to work.
