- Bio collection 26 July 2022
- Acknowledgement of bio collection 9 Aug 2022
- Biometrics Validity Letter 18 Dec 2022
- Final decision: Approved & PP request 20 Dec 2022
- Visitor Visa for my parents
that means I get the final decision within 1-2 working days after BVL (consistent with some comments by others in this thread). And fortunately my case is an approval case. Hope all of you will get the positive results soon once you receive BVL before year end
My husband applied for the open work permit in 2021 and it was refused, he applied again for the Open Work Permit, and the dates are:
- Confirmation on Online Application Transmission: September 9, 2022
- Submission confirmation: September 9, 2022
- Biometrics correspondence letter: January 16, 2023.

It's another portal where you can track your applications. There, I randomly stumbled upon the tab "Document Status". It displayed a new TRV number with a new expiry date (1 day before my passport expiry date). I verified and this new visa number is not the same as the ones i've had in the past.
I am not 100% sure but I don't recall seeing this before. So I am hoping that this means that a new Visa was approved and generated in the system. But because the government works in steps, they havn't had time to update me that it's approved.

No update on PPR yet. But I know my new Visa is created with a number and date in the system. I feel that all we can do is wait. I'll give it until Friday and then I'm calling IRCC but I highly doubt they can do anything. The best they can do is say they put a note but who knows when they read the note right?
