A response to a post on another forum has me a little concerned. When I check e-cas, it states that my application is "In process." Click on the "In Process" and it states they started processing my application on July 8. The explanation on the website is that they have
1. received my information
2. documentation verified by cic
3. medical results received by cic.
Does this mean that all three are true? The post on the other site stated that they usually will state on the e-case "medical results received." However the post also told me I could call to get the status of my application, but the number given is for cases from within.
I am immigrating from outside through the Buffalo office.
Normally I think Buffalo notes "Medicals Received" as a separate item . . . but don't panic. Just because they haven't done that does not mean that your medicals have not been received . . . they're not initially received by the visa office, they go to the Regional Medical Centre in Ottawa. When Buffalo is ready to review them, they request them from the RMC. That's the point at which they note "Medicals Received" in eCAS.
I know from experience that Buffalo will fire off a letter almost immediately notifying you if they've tried to get your medicals from the RMC without success.
