I was just checking e-cas today and it stated that they received my application March 15th, 2013 and decision has been made (I got en email that I have been approved for a Sponsor on April 9th, 2013)
Under the Permanent Residence category, it stated that the "Medical results have been received".
Does this mean that our application is at the Ottawa visa office and they are processing the application? Or can the "Medical results received" be added to the file at any time (while it is being transferred from Mississauga to the Ottawa visa office?)
Hi there, yes I believe "medical results received" is just a confirmation of that only. I applied to sponsor my husband and step-children from Trinidad and was told by the doctor's office there that all medical results go through Ottawa no matter which visa office is processing. At least we know they have arrived and are logged into the system. Lots of unfortunate stories about documents getting lost.

Is it true that all medical result no matter what visa office is handling your application goes to ottawa and they will send it back again to visa office from which it came from?

When our application was first submitted ecas stated that my wife's application for permaent residency has been received and her medical results have been received. After they expired that notification was removed.

This is what I was told by the Dr.'s office who did my husband's medical (Trinidad) as CIC have recently changed and updated some of the ops manuals and forms for medicals. I do not know if the actual hard copy paperwork gets transferred back to the respective visa offices "or" if Ottawa sends a digital or electronic file with an "approved" decision/status. One of the more senior forum menbers may have more detail.

The medical information is something i grabbed off the sticky thread, but one of the pro's mentioned that they don't mention medical results unless they are approved. (Otherwise, they would send info for an additional check, or outright deny your application)
