How can I join my brother in Canada?

Hello ,

Please if somebody can give me an answer.
My brother lives in Vancouver B.C. since 2008. he is permanent resident, this year will be citizen.He is not married and he is alone there. He would like to bring me there. We have mother, but she doesn't want to live in Canada. So my brother would like to sponsor only me.
I am 30, not married.
I heard that he can not sponsor me if our parents are alive? Please tell me is that true? And what other options I have?

You should come to Canada the same way he came to Canada, I assume it's by skilled worker
