No you can't call most embassies and speak to anyone anyways. And they definetely would accept you modifiying your form over the phone. The option is mail it, fax it, or scan it and use the embassy inquiry e-mail. I used the e-mail system.
when u had that error.. did it cause problem even u corrected it already?it says on ur timeline pasprt req. , did u sent ur pasport already?im really worried, my partner try to call cic canada and he cant talk to anyone ??? :'(

Ok, so I called the CIC call centre (1-888-242-2100), they just gave me general info, send correction to Embassy after my file was transferred. They said i could either send an e-mail or fax just simply correcting the info or I could redo page 1 of the background form with the corrected answers and a short letter explaining the explanation and that would be fine. TO avoid confusion I chose to resend the form with correct info and short explanation. I don't forsee any problems, they accepted it and send me an e-mail acknowledgment.
I just got an e-mail last night asking for my husband's PPT, saying they had sent the letter to my husband's mailing address on Jan 25th. So my husband will leave Greece this Saturday and return to India until a decision is made on his visa. He will delivery his passport and docs to them in person on Monday as they have 1 hour all week (except fridays and weekends) where they see the public.
that no. is in usa?i try call it ,it says not valid, ive been trying to call phone no.s and wont be able to talk to anyone, i also try to email cic mnla, the email was return to me,(failed to deliver)...this is so frustrating, im so stressed, i dont know what to do, i cant afford to be accuse of misreprsenatation just for accident mistake, i miss my partner so much.

That is a Canadian number and will not work for international dialing. You need to contact your embassy once you have a client ID number listed in your sponsorship approval letter and explain to them what happened and ask them how they would like you to rectify the problem. Make sure you include the Client ID number, your name/your partner's name, country of birth and birthdate of the applicant so they can direct your query to the appropriate file. If it is a sponsorship document, you need to contact the call centre with the direct 1.613 number listed on their website. Good Luck!
