HEALTH INSURANCE FOR ONLINE STUDY ?

Hi i have got my AIP and im planning to commence my studies this fall but today i have received an email from college that if i want i can opt out from fall INTERNATIONAL STUDENT health insurance but if i arrive in Canada before 31st december i would have to buy insurance first please help as i have only 4 days to make decision

Hi, I received the same email - what university are you planning to attend? I personally am not opting out - though it’s a lot of money, it makes more sense in my case since I am doing all I can to get there and I’m coming from the US (which has it’s own exemption right now, potentially making things a bit smoother for me.) Where are you coming from? It really depends on your case.

Thanks for responding I'm from India and I'm enrolled in Sheridan, well I'm confused what to do because there are rare chances of flying to Canada

What is confusing about this? Why would you take health insurance in Canada while you are in India? Don't take health insurance. If you are travelling before December 31st which is highly unlikely then take insurance.

No I've already paid and it is not only refundable if i decide to withdraw within 4 days
