Guys ,
I am asking for a family member and hoping someone can help .
She came to Canada in March as a visitor with her 2kids (1 is canadaian and the other is not )
She applied for H&c based on best interest of the Canadian child. This child is asthmatic . [respiratory problems)
She has not gotten any response since she applied in March, and she extended her visitor stay around
may, she was given 6 months.
Now this 6 months is about to expire and has applied for another 1year extension still waiting for the response.
My question is - what are the chances of the hnc application being approved.
What are the chances of the second visitor extension being approved.
The processing time nor hnc says 33months around what time should she be expecting AIP ¿
Help as she is contemplating on going back home to Africa.

It’s difficult to say what her chances are. Having best interest of the child as grounds is beneficial, but not a guarantee of a successful H&C application. If her extension isn’t approved, she will need to leave. The application will continue being processed if she returns home.

I had my application file numbered on July 11/2018. Haven’t heard anything yet. My lawyer said the soonest case she handled got the first stage approval after 8 months. Then they can apply for work permit and healthcare (if you were out of status when you applied)
So hope and pray!

Hello everyone: I applied on behalf of my father for h&c. I mailed out his application on Feb 28, 2018. It was received March 5. And I got a letter from them dated march 14.

I have tried checking the status many times but i am unsuccessful. Can someone guide me on what options you select on drop down menu to check the status?
