I wouldnt apply for parents at this time. Refusal is almost guaranteed if you do so. You’ve waited all the time to get through this. Get your PR status in hands and apply for Super Visa for parents. Why risk now? Officer will check your status and refuse the application. Disappointment, refusal and waste of time and money. It’s a NO from me but you know better choice is yours. Yet Ill be very happy to hear they got approval

Understood, Im sure not a lot parents want to stay. I know a lot who dont like it here and leave. But it’s hard to prove to officer at this time when you are still waiting for PR. Thats why I think it’s better to apply once you have status. Hope we all get good news. I really want to see happy threads here. Happiness is contagious

Hi my work permit PGWP is expiring soon and I HAVE A FAMILY AND A CHILD BORN IN CANADA TO SUPPORT them can i extent my work permit wHile my application is under process in H&C . bECAUSE THIS WAS THE ONLY REASON FOR STAYING IN CANADA AND APPLYING h&c was social and economic establishment if my work permit expire then how i will have social and economic establishment? Do you guys think hat if i apply for extension i will get that ??

You may need more than proof of economic and social establishment to get H&C these days. Many with PGWP expiring without other PR options are going to apply for H&C and the programs wasn’t meant as a way for anyone to get PR if they don’t qualify otherwise or the volume of applicants. I would be working towards other options.

I called them in December,

By the time they said:



•Medical passed

•Elegebilit passed

•Background checking

Criminality. : processing

Info sharing : processing

Security. : processing

and now, they say the same...and I asked when it was the last update...they say January 17, but couldn't say what it was specifically

Hey everyone, I need some advice. Two months ago, I got an email from the Niagara office asking me to submit the RPRF fee, PCC, and a valid passport. I submitted everything, but I still haven’t received AIP. When I called IRCC, they said my eligibility and medical have passed. To extend your work permit you would need a job offer and approved LMIA. Yes, you can keep working while the H&C application is being processed as long as you have a valid work permit.
