Trust me we are all in the same boat... Super Visas are the option but once it expires after 10 years, new Super Visas are difficult to get as parents have no ties back home if they lived here for 7 years + even initial Super Visas are difficult to get these days... if you see other threads, you'll see people get refusals on Super Visas for stupid reasons that dont make any sense and goes against the Super Visa requirements.... unfortunately, these days Canadians have to fight for their own biological parents to remain or enter Canada... Ive been trying to sponsor my parents 10+ years and no luck...I hope your dad will get approval

Funny, we got the wife's parents a supervisa approval in under a week this month, despite all the recent changes....doesn't seem that hard. Then again, we aren't using it as a means to bypass PGP.

I got my ATIP response. Only update was on dec 2024 and it indicates they combined my applications together as I requested before. It seems like a little light someone was working on it. User ID ends with BOT. I feel like someone was working on it and then left it due to the policy change.

Exactly same processing time. I don’t know if anyone had same note like me before. I don’t mind waiting and losing money but my situation also kind of same like you. My family members back home and I just want to see them. They can’t get visitor visa while I am in this situation and neither I can go back. So patient what we all need since they don’t have any common sense.

I think they updated your file then they went on holidays since it was in Decemer 2024.
I hope next time when the officer updates your file you will get good news.

Processing is close to 2 years but may get longer. Even getting AOR takes months so there will be significant periods of time where you hear nothing about your file. Most do not see any movement on their file until over 1 year.

H&C program was never meant for the current volume of applicants and was really meant for exceptional cases not as a catch all for anyone not qualifying for PR. The yearly quotas are a fraction of those applying. Agree there needs to be reforms to the system but that will likely mean getting more strict about who qualifies

This is just to encourage someone. Don’t give up continue praying, doing what you have to do and trust God.
We got our AIP early morning of the day we were going to CBSA to get our ticket to be deported back home. But God changed our story.

I pray everyone still waiting recieve their goodness.
