I understand, but the way I see...when you call them you talk to a third party/person that has access to your file, working on a desk just answering calls and informing people...when I call is the get the last update as possible.
and theres some delay related to the decision and when they inform you.

I said that because the date on my AIP is July 23 but they emailed me on August 1st.

Has this actually made a difference to processing your file? Doesn’t appear so it both wastes your time and uses labour that IRCC could be using to do something else. I can only imagine if IRCC redeployed the resources being used to answer all the frequent (often many copies of the exact same request) webforms, frequent phone calls, replying to the often monthly GCMS notes that show now changes but are well within processing times, etc. Also the cost to the actually person especially waiting on hold.

After 4, 5 years is your best chance, according to my lawyer. I applied right after 5 years.

It really depends on your circumstances. Lots of Ukrainians applied in 2022 just immediately after coming to Canada and received AIP in couple of months

There are no exact rules for H&C and the directives from the gvt can change over time. IRCC used to be fairly generous but with 50l in the pool and only 10k to approve all forms of H&C applications they will likely refuse more than they used to.

I guess recent news about PGP program increases JR approvals for people who have reasonable factors under HC for their parents?? Especially if their parents already maxed out 10 year super visas?

Ukrainian family was able to bring parents and grandparents within few months on PR status. Grandparents were vacationing in war zone this summer. As soon as they received PR cards they booked flights back to Ukraine apparently they dont like it here as much. Ive been waiting more than a decade for my parents and still no luck. There are thousands of Canadians in the same shoes as me… how more unfair it can get for us?? They kept saying play lottery, play lottery yet this lottery is not available past 5 years and no one knows when it will be available… and no guarantee you will get selected when it’s available. Unfair and unjust (( People who dont like this country get PRs in few months and leave and people who want to stay with their children are deported (((

I can give you another example: Ukrainian family had come to Canada for 1 week in 2022 together with parents, to pick up 3000 cad per person and came back to Ukraine.

In 2023 they get informed about H&C , had come to Canada for 1 week to apply and came back to Ukraine to wait for decision.

Get AIP in 3 months, and final decision in 4 month, had come to Canada for couple of months for portals and pick up pr cards.

Their parents had come to Canada for 1 week to apply for Ukrainian family reunification, all together came back to Ukraine.

Parents are waiting for decision, being in Ukraine

How ridiculous is that? and Feds want to tell me after these facts that we, Canadian citizens are all treated equally? No! Family reunification is simplified as much as possible for certain groups and for others it should be a dream (which never comes true). Discrimination of their own citizens based on the country of origin
