Why do you ask - are you suspicious that they have stopping processing applications for some reason?
The CIC has a webpage giving the current processing times. It was last updated 13 February 2015 and currently indicates that they are currently processing online applications received at the start of January 2015 and paper applications that were received in November 2014.
cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp
It's irrelevant, but a friend of mine just had her BOWP application rejected last week as her AOR wasn't processed in time (AOR was granted this week).
Thanks for your reply. From this link, there is no mention about BOWP for a initial one. I never had a work permit before. Btw, I received my PER on Jan 15 & AOR on Feb 17. I have applied online for my BOWP on Jan 15, right after I received my AOR.
It's silly, but it's one of the Work Extension categories (couldn't say which though). In any case, they're at Jan 2 for online applications, so you probably have a couple of weeks to wait still, not too bad!

If the required days are 41, then I should get the response by next week (Feb 26). CIC website updates weekly. I guess currently they are working on until Jan 09 (last website update was Feb 13 not Feb 20). Anyways, maybe I am just trying to be more optimistic. Thanks for the info.
I'm an international graduate (graduated from Canadian university) I have two years of work experience (one job and one company within Canada) my Job offer/occupation falls under NOC-0 when I calculated my score for Express Entry I'm getting like 465 but my IELTS over all band score is 6.0 (Listening 6.0 Speaking 6.5 Writing 6.5 and Reading 4.5)
As of March first week draw, the minimum score for invitation was 434, Is that okay that if I register for express entry with the above IELTS score?
I'm sure that I'll get an invitation if I register for it, but I'm worrying about the IELTS score. According to CIC, IELTS score must be 6.0 in all four components for NOC 0.
I think this is a first - Just got my BOWP approved without submitting the AOR.
I had not received my AOR at the time of my WP running out, so before that I had submitted the BOWP (application for extension OWP) online. I had sent an explanatory letter along with OB 485, copy of my current WP, and although I applied for a OWP, I did also attach a copy of my offer letter/contract. But in the application did not fill in Employer details.
Timeline:
CEC Application Received: April 29
BOWP Online Application submitted: May 15
Current OWP Expired: May 26
AOR received: June 13
BOWP approval email: June 19
I am still so excited about this aand! Counting down the days to get -hopefully- the same exciting news! Now I kinda wish I had applied for the BOWP electronically.
When you had mailed them your docs and application form for BOWP without an AOR, were you considered in an implied status? (I mean how do you prove to your employer that you're in an implied status?)
