You will probably have to apply for your BOWP the day you send out your PR application and your BOWP application must reach CIC before your existing permit expires. It is best you mail your BOWP application, do not apply online.
OR
Leave Canada and wait for your PR to be finalized
OR
Check with your employer if they can sponsor your work permit (i.e. closed work permit).
Good luck!

Hi everyone,
I am in a very tight situation, where I will finish 12 months full-time employment under NOC-2175 on August 6th, 2014 and my PGWP will expire on August 7th, 2014. Can anyone tell me how can I go about applying for CEC and BOWP in a safe way? I mean the dates you think it would be safe for me to apply.
Not really. I'm saying you must apply for the BOWP before your PGWP expires on 28 August, and ideally you should apply for the BOWP after your AOR arrives. We do not know exactly how long your AOR will take. If you apply for PR on 7 July and the current trend (40-45 days) continues, your AOR will arrive somewhere around 21 August.

Hi, Vicky. You should get your AOR soon to apply for BOWP. Wait about a week for the AOR. If you get it apply for BOWP with the AOR. If you don't get the it, submit a paper BOWP application by mail (processing time of paper application is about 40+ days). You should get the AOR by time CIC will start processing your BOWP application and they will see it in the system.

All you can confirm is if your payment has been en-cashed or not. If it is en-cashed then it means your AOR is on the way now and try to login to ECAS to see.
Just out of curiosity, the folks who got their BOWPs approved without an AOR, at the time, did you guys have a job and did you submit a copy of your offer letter/reference letter?
Okay. I'm just trying to understand if having a job has a positive impact on BOWP application without an AOR because ideally, an applicant is supposed to submit the AOR along with the BOWP application.
Thanks! Others - please feel free to share your experience.
