I have some querry regarding this. In my passport the present address is of my college in bhubaneswar( studied there)but my permannent address is of meghalaya. Now my SBI account address is also of meghalaya. So during GIC will this be a problem? Will present address create a problem here? My passport was issued in bhubaneswar as i used to study there

While sending gic through sbi there is a column for remitter address.. put your address exactly as in passport (the address you used while creating Scotia account)

I am sorry to say but yes bro.. even i got gic rejected for this reason ,
But if it is little different , then it might not cause problem but if it is completely different like city and PIN Code.. then they will not accept.
Hi Guys,
My address on passport is :
Plot no 64, Rd No 2,BDL Coly,Bagyalatha hospital,Bagyalatha,Vanasthalipuram,Hyderabad,Telangana,India-500070
But my bank has sent the following address during wire transfer to Scotia bank GIC:
PLOT NO 64 ROAD NO 2 BDL COLONY
VANASTHALIPURAM HYDERABAD RANGAREDDY HYDERABAD - 500070
As you can see that both addresses don't match 100% but 80-90%.
Will it be problem for GIC in Scotia Bank or during Visa ?
I am from Pakistan. Is it necessary for me to transfer GIC amount from Pakistan or can I make this transfer by someone from canada on my behalf to the bank in Canada ?
