They DON'T return passports at the moment at Etobicoke CIC where I made my claim 3 years ago.
I drove there today. They said they will make an announcement when this service is available. But for the next few months no passport returns at Etobicoke.
I don't know anything about airport road in mississauga since my passport wasn't there. I know that my passport is at Etobicoke office since I wrote them a letter and get such reply

It was a security guard from the CIC office. but from my conversation with him it seemed that he is pretty knowledgeable of the refugee situation and that these question was asked many time already.
they didn't let me to speak to the officer since it is written that meetings are only by appointment

Which office was that. Did you get chance to get appointment to visit them for your passport. Or you just simply sent a letter.
I did my hearing in Montreal but I moved to Toronto thereafter. I applied for PR from Toronto and I believe they called for my documents from Montreal during processing. I didn't call anywhere, I just went there to ask. Plus I know someone that came in through Montreal and moved to Toronto then received his passport from CBSA mississauga. I hope this helps you if you have this same scenario.
I went there today. And was told my passport still in montreal. They said only cbsa hold passport of those who claimed at border not ar IRCC office.
I went to CBSA today, they told me my passport is in Etobicoke.

I thing CBSA only holds the documents of people they intercepted at the border.

Hello Everyone, if you have your COPR already and you want to get your Passport/Documents back. for GTA , visit CBSA Mississauga office and ask for your documents . it is very easy and fast . just go with one recognized ID card (Drivers License or Medical etc.). I got my documents within one hour today.
I really appreciate your help. I got my CoPR in January 2021 and for long time I thought that IRCC was holding my documents but thanks to you I found out that CBSA Mississauga had my documents after I went to the office. They gave me my documents in one hour.
Hi,
I suppose your passport is seized by IRCC office in Montreal. Anyway, the first step is writing an email to:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
You have to asking to them where is your passport. They will check on the system and after 2 weeks aprox they will send you a response with that information. If you did not get a departure or deportation order, the most feasible option is that your passport is in an IRCC office in Montreal.
When you get the response from them. You will know where your passport is, so you will have to contact that office by mail, fax and send a letter requesting your passport. In my case I went directly just the next day I got a response from IRCC mail and brought the letter. It was fast and easy.

CBSA seized my documents in Montreal and they transferred them to Toronto because I chose Toronto as my address.
When u become PR. Do they transfer automatically or we need to request 6900 airport road to get our passport from
Cbsa montreal. Ircc is telling me it’s in montreal and write a letter to them. But I don’t understand do I need to visit montreal cbsa or cbsa Missisuaga
