You need to order CSIS notes to know if your case was sent to them. It is not detailed as CBSA notes, but it can tell you if your case is in progress or not found in their database.
1-2 years is what you may want to expect, but sometimes people got cleared early. So, be prepared and be hopeful.
Last couple of weeks I see two changes on 'updated date' on tracker with a week apart (i.e., two ghost updates on tracker with a week apart), which is strong indication of movement of the file. Today I see an update on GCKey. Medical changed from Passed to You don't need a medical exam.
As per GCMS notes, my upfront medical expired late last month, but in February IRCC added another medical I did on the application file which shall expire on January 4, 2025. However I don't think either way it should be an issue because the temporary policy exempting medicals for inland applicants who did a medical with a result of no or low risk within 5 years has been extended to 2029.
Possibly it is just an administrative update as a byproduct of the implementation of the new policy or by virtue of my upfront medical being technically expired, or it is an indication that my file is very close to finalisation, because normally they fiddle with medicals again just before they finalise a file.
While I was getting ready to pull the trigger on mandamus application next week, leading up to one year anniversary since AOR, I guess I shall give another two weeks till the end of the month.
I had the same updates, on 27 September and 4 October, the medical for the main and dependent applicants was extended — nothing new after that. Hopefully it's a good sign.

Ah okay. it can take a couple of days for a change to be updated on tracker. I might see it on the tracker tomorrow or on Monday. If it's just an extension I don't think it is an indication of imminent finalisation unfortunately.

My tracker also had updates on those two days and got updated again yesterday. It feels like IRCC has been picking up the pace lately. Fingers crossed we get some positive developments soon
