G Driving licence test

I have an affidavit letter from Indian embassy and also have an Indian driving licence, with a 5 years experience.
Do I need to write G1 test or directly eligible for G test?

First you have to do an eye test and sit for a MCQ knowledge test, then you get a G1 license which is basically a learner's permit. but with the experience letter you can schedule a G road test which is the full license with no restrictions.

You still need to take the written G1 test, and if you pass that, with the driving experience letter, you can schedule the G road test.

Hi All,

Getting the sworn affidavit from the Indian consulate allows us to take G test directly, did anyone succedded ?

A few people i know passed but if you are going to take the road test, I recommend that you spend some time with a Driving Instructor until you are confident.
If you pass your G this will get you a better rate in insurance than a G2 licence.

I will go to classroom and driving classes, if my driving extract is accepted I can directly take g test without taking g2! but the issue is the drive test guys are not accepting by driving extract brought from India saying that the extract don't have an license issue date, if I get an affidavit from Indian consulate....can I take the g test directly.?
