Usually if the wife's Passport (especially in India) still carries her maiden name, they (VO) do get suspicious for marriage of convenience. Although in USA & Europe it is a common thing & nobody bats an eyelid. It's because of the Indian Society of Male dominance & reservations, even the Visa Officers in India have developed a cliche for this. Yes, of course the high instances of fraud also have made them extra vigilant.
Do not worry, carry all proofs that you can. You do have a Govt. registered marriage certificate, I hope?
No Kids... Immediately after marriage we applied and we found in this thread, they delay papers due to pregnancy and all... I have Govt Registered marriage certificate [I sent them the notarized copy earlier]. Now i have to show them the original...

Carry all originals (all), your marriage cards, photographs & if possible carry a CD of your marriage videos (if any). Try getting your CAIPS notes, that will tell you the exact reason for this interview. The main reason might not even be the suspicion for marriage but something else. They usually send standard letters for all interviews.
What is the interview date? cause it takes 3 -4 weeks for the CAIPS to come in.
An advice to all, PLS. ORDER CAIPS IMMEDIATELY THE DAY YOU HEAR THAT AN INTERVIEW HAS BEEN SCHEDULED.
Guys who moved to "In Process" and who already got visas, please share your verification call details..like who many days before moving to "In Process" the employer or the applicant got the call, the telephone number, the questions asked, etc...it will be very helpful for people who are still RBVO
If this is a real update so it's good, but can you assume why people till March,30 (FTD) are not having any update ?
I mean to say for ND they have processesed upto 10.03.2010 cases ( as per forum updates) & remaining 20days applicants i.e,11.03 to 30.03.10 have not got any update, only AEO cases like Tarakrs & MS84 got update (their FTD is last day of March).
Is Our files are put on hold? I have heard that due to slow economy & less opportunities, they are processing files as per requirement in the country so definitely we will get update but it will take couple of months.
My Interview is on 10th March 2011... CAIPS, now a days taking longer as expected, but good to order immediately after confirmation of interview...

Why not take a chance. Their are some very good websites like caipsnotes.com etc. that offer this service for 30-30$. It's worth it to take that chance. Else if you know some Canadian Citizen/PR, you can request that person. You can search on canadavisa itself using CAIPS as keyword for detailed info. on how to order CAIPS through legitimate websites.
You still have a month togo, give it a shot !!! But do it TODAY.
