Its always better to have Credential Assessment but its not a must for IT, Credential Assessment has to be done by canadian..firm..you can scan and send them ..btw..another big advantage of having Credential Assessment is to get a Job as Gov contractor..or related to Gov..

and also i suggest you to make your resume in canadian format..Resume format is diff here in US and canada..i hope you know how to get the format..
