Seems people with expired COPR are getting PPR recently. Maybe things are moving for the better.

It always seems but not actually happens lol

That's the only thing going on. Outland situation hasn't changed any bit.

On a positive note, if they are issuing PPRs to expired COPRs, it very good. If they could clear up this backlog before 7 September then they could fully focus on giving fresh pprs to outlanders

Logically, clearing the backlog has to start with expired COPRs; so yeah!

May be thats what we should wait for instead of border opening.
They will get to us after Expired Coprs are dealt with and the Student Visa rush is completed.

I have one observation.. Canada is weirdly "paperish" in this work. Why do they need physical passport? Australia attaches PR "electronically".

Yeah, it's weird, the biggest immigrant accepting country in the world has the worst immigration department.

I visited Australia for one year to do my Post-Doc they never even stamped my passport when I arrived or left their borders. Everything was electronic. I was surprised when I heard that Canada needs my passport to give me the visa.

I am aware of 3 cases ( Through my Consultant ) who got their PPR(2) Mail yesterday. All of them happen be in India and their COPR had expired a few months back.

To every single applicant who has been going through these trying times , Remember that' This too shall pass " . I know a lot of us feel that things aren't working out and the wait seems infinitely frustrating. I too am one of you. A lot of you might even have put things on hold and I can totally understand how it feels. Its excruciating and often takes a toll mentally. Since we don't have any control over this situation , the least we can do is to stand for each other and spread good vibes.

if there's any one who's willing to pour their heart out , I am there to listen to you. I may not have a solution to your problem but you'll definitely have my time and full attention.
