Finally a Permanent Resident after 12 years of struggle. Completed flag poling at Rainbow Bridge yesterday. It was a very smooth process. I am very happy. This is my dream come true.

Diplomatru, is there any way to check the status of PR card application like e-cas or GCMS notes? Also, I saw in the cec forum that Sydney has requested new photos for their pr card, why so? Would they ask this for FSW-2014 applicants as well?

1/10 applicants can track in on ecas.
call centre is useless (different agents produce different answers)
ATIP is useless. The actual processing takes a couple of days, so you won't see any progress until your file lands on the desk of the CIC clerk.
So, you should assume there is no way to track it. As far as photos are concerned, they changed the design of the card in November, so most applicants are now required to get new photos.
1) Request CPC-O to amend COPR prior to landing. Can take months.
2) Make an appointment at local CIC office. They may chose not to amend your COPR at site. Can take several weeks.
3) Complete landing at the border and request OSC-O to amend COPR. Will take 6 months, but you'll be enjoying all PR benefits and working towards your residence obligation.
Dear Diplomatru,
Thanks for your good suggestions for us in this forum. But I need your help for mending the errors on my COPR (the original entry data and the last entry data are wrong). You mentioned before:

What do you mean "will take 6 months"? Does this mean that it will take 6 months for me to get the PR card? Will the mending delay the issue of PR card?

The processing time for amending COPR is 6 months. It has no impact on your PRC processing (which takes 3 to 4 months). However, once you get your new COPR you will have to renew the PRC as well, so that the biometric info on it is based on new COPR. The renewal takes around 6-8 months.
