changing of lmo from one profession to another

My current profession is as a pipefitter working in BC canada (3months over. valid for 2years). I want to change my profession to Long haul truck driver. Already taken class I drivers licence and an employer is ready to give me a new lmo . Whether it is allowed to change my profession. If I change my lmo when I can aplly for my PNP.
