I have a question regarding the passport renewal as i was thinking to renew mine too, is the new passport issued with the same old passport number or new number?
Ahlan wasahlan
For me I had no choice but changing the passport which got full, I don't really know if it will affect or not, but I guess if I send the update soon and processed before asking for other updates or MR, it might not delay the application.

A

Did anyone requested GCMS from May 2014 applicants? and if yes any useful information for the next review by Visa Office/Officer?
According to CPC-Ottawa I was suppose to receive information from Cairo VO these days but nothing so far, and no update on ECAS.
It seems that there are movement on Cairo Visa Office, I have received a reply on an inquiry I sent to CPC-Ottawa, but the reply came from Cairo Visa Office. The reply was very short indicating that my application is in the "queue for review". I know at least of one other person who received a similar email.
It seems that Cairo Visa Office, finally, is operational.. If that is the case, all of us, the applicants of the first two weeks of May 2014, should hear something soon, insha'Allah...
Me as well, I got the below reply yesterday to an email I sent on 19-march:
" Dear Sir,
This refers to your application for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Worker category.
Kindly note that this file will be reviewed and you will be informed of further processing in due course. Delays in the processing of an application are always frustrating to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure an efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications, including the one which is of interest to you.
Thank you for your cooperation.

When did you get the email?
Is it the same as what your received?
All the best,
A

We received it yesterday, round 4:00pm Cairo Time. It was much shorter than your email, just saying in queue for processing and that's almost all...

Please be advised that your application is in the queue for review, we expect that it will be reviewed within the coming few weeks. We will notify you if any additional document is required.
Congratulations and thanks AlMohager for the info.
Still don't understand why there are differences between the two emails we received although we are sharing almost exact application history and timeline ....
Can you share the full email removing the sensitive information?
Thanks,
A
