Dear Senior Members,

I have few queries regarding the FD-258 form.

1. I was in the US for 6 yrs and I am presently residing in India for the past two years. On the applcation form what should i write in the applicant home address, my US address or Indian address.

2. what should be written in the field emplyer name and address . should it be the agency where i took my finger prints.

3. can i send 2 fd-258 forms with finger prints just to make sure that they do not get rejected.

4. on the credit card form i have to write amount in dollars that is 18$. Please correct me if i am wrong.

No it is not possible that applications sent after you be processed because they process application as they arrive. on first come first serve basis.

Hmmm. I think it's a bit more complicated than that

While applications are at CIC, they are indeed reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. But it seems to be different people look at different NOCs, and within each NOC the order is preserved, yet people from a NOC may see their applications being processed faster than those from another NOC. In that context, the sequence would seem to be broken. E.g. a 2243 applicant from May 15th may see their CC charged first than a 2173 applicant from May 5th, but within each NOC the order is pretty much preserved.

Similarly, at local VOs, applications are started to process in order, but several may be started in parallel and later applications may be completed first than earlier applications, owing to e.g. security and background checks being easier to complete for the latter applicant, quicker responses from the applicant in terms of MR/RPRF/PPR, etc.

As with many, many other things in this process, I don't think this is written in stone, but it's what I've observed

3. can i send 2 fd-258 forms with finger prints just to make sure that they do not get rejected You need to send only 3 things i.e. FD 258 form (containing your finger prints), Credit card Disclosure and the Letter provided by the Agency who is taking your finger prints.
