The ecas has said In Process (for the sponsorship) since June 29 when Vegreville sent the email confirming when they received it and when they started processing it. With regard to the PR application itself, it has always said application received because they haven't authorized the sponsorship yet. That would be great if it was true but it sounds highly unlikely to me. I am hoping for an interview. It is a heck of alot better than sitting here feeling powerless.
That "in process" you were asking me about was for outland applications. Their system works differently than the inland, so it is not applicable to my situation at all. Thank you.
Hi Kiwi, thanks for your reply, so right now, after your file is transferred it still says "in process" on the sponsorship column?
I hope you get news soon I know how hard it is waiting.
Yes, that is because when the file is transferred without AIP you need to wait out the time that the local CIC takes to process your application. In my case it is 4-6 months. Sometimes you are asked to come in for an interview and sometimes they don't bother, it depends on what they need to investigate further. If they don't feel the need to have us down for an interview a letter will be mailed indicating that I have been approved as a sponsor and that my husband's application has been approved in principle and then the ecas will change to "Decision Made" under sponsor and "In Process" under the PR category. Hope this clarifies.
Hi iav12, I'm wondering if you have received your OWP yet and how long it took to receive it after you applied? I was in the same boat as you. Had my interview in vancouver and finally received 1st stage approval.
