@ hanisuliman, Thanks man, i was thinking may be 2 to 3 months for the AOR
I couldn't check my certified check, i called the bank and they told me that there is no way for us to check if the check has been cashed or not, " strange" i still have a copy of it but they said they can't find out if it has been cashed so i just have to wait for the AOR.
Do you think there will be a problem if i do the medicals in one place and my wife in another place, ( a different country) she will be out of town for a while and i think she's gonna have to do her medicals overthere. do u think this will be an issue??
it's not a prob. cz if like me you read the AOR message you'd know that Buffalo uses a system that is incompatible with eCas. If you notify eCAS about change of address, Buffalo system won't have it. Likewise if you notify Buffalo, eCAS won't be updated. Now I'm assuming that because Buffalo changed their system for another one it might have popped in meanwhile.
The best way to ensure is either wait or request CAIPS, the next steps for you will be sent via email anyhow... so why worry!!!!
I sent an email to Buffalo yesterday regarding the change of address, and also requesting info. regarding my application. I have not heard from them yet.

The bank must know by the serial no. of the draft whether the money has been withdrawn or not. I did mine at TD bank and they told me the money had been drawn. As for the medical is concern, i have the same situation as yours, my wife and kid are not with me coz of visa rejection and i pray day and night to get the PR and let them join me in Montreal. Your wife can do the medical anywhere but make sure you send the results by DHL or Aramex and then track the no. to make sure that Ottowa get here Medical results.
Its been 69 days since my application was received at Buffalo. I went to bank, and they said the cheque has not been cashed yet :-[ Its a loooong wait!
normally Buffalo will cash ur money about 2 months after file is recd. If they don't it may be a sign they're busy, and will do it soon or it might also tell they plan or mailed it back.
Nowadays, AOR takes about 30 weeks to be sent after they created the file. So, yeah counting days will create some frustrating after a while...
PRAISE GOD!!! I got my PPR this morning!! Thank you friends for your support and encouragement, it was invaluable! Special thanks to ae03yy, you are indeed a GODSEND!!! You are in my prayers and God willing your time will come very very soon!
I guess I should stop counting days! (I use a day counter!!) I got admission to University of Montreal, and will go to Montreal during the end of December on my study permit. I will have something to do in life then other than counting days. Right now, I am on H4 visa in the US, which is the worst type of visa, no freedom at all.
