Last week, I happily received a letter from IRCC"

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the
following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if
applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us
immediately with details concerning your situation."

After sending the required pictures and passport, how long till I receive the PPR? Or simply, what comes after this? Is this the pre-arrival letter? a COPR? Thanks!

Congratulations!!! This IS the PPR!! Are you American?? If so....you send in the required photos and a PHOTOCOPY of the photo page of your passport. I got my COPR by Fedex exactly a week after I sent mine in! You have to send a return envelope to them so they can send the COPR.

Yes, I am American but had been under visitor visa for a while now. So I sent my photos and copy of passport here in Canada so hopefully it’s quicker lol. Thank you for sharing your experience! After this, landing comes in, correct?

Has anyone received Decision Made yet or COPR?

I applied for my husband visa in February and application was received on Feb 06,2018. Background check is in process from May 2018. It says he has passed medical exam.

How long it takes to complete background check and further continue with application? It has been 8.5 months now

Hopefully end of November. am in the same boat too. I applied for my husband in February too. Yes it's 8.5 months
