Are their any sponsors who are applying from outside of Canada. My file was received on Feb 16. but we haven't received any confirmation of opening yet. Do they send it somewhere else for processing? The sponsor and applicant are both in the USA.

You can try to link using the application number and family name. Just a suggestion, no guarantee this will work. You can also try calling to inquire about not receiving the email.

I called but they wont answer any questions as I am not the applicant or the representative.

I also tried linking but it didnt work.

I regret not sending the representative form which I had already had my spouse sign, but didnt bother attaching as I thought it unnecessary at that time.

You can upload the use of representative form on the ircc webform to make you the representative.
There is a lot of trouble linking even for PAs who have received AOR1. Don't be discouraged.

Hello,

Ask them tricky questions like are they seeing something for your sponsorship application and you can ask them file number and they will provide.

They will confirm they received file and someone is working and you will get AOR.

Dont be discouraged due to holidays things are slow I got my aor on tuesday last week(Feb13th) and I was freaked out in a same way.

wow that's fast.. did u use a representative?

I am using a representative but I still am waiting for my Spnosorship approval. I feel like they are doing this a bit differently now. They ask for the Medical and Police clearence beforehand.

Good reading this. We have a similar situation. Similar in all the scenarios but for the fact that I applied 1 month after you and from Montreal. Hope my file goes as fast as yours. Did she do her meds in Dubai or Abu dhabi? That was pretty fast though. Good luck

I am sure it will procress faster. She did her medical in Dubai.

I (sponsor) got the AOR with the UCI and file number (but principal applicant didn't)

I opened a GIC account and tried linking the application with UCI but it failed. However I just tried linking with the Family name and it worked.

My question is this is my GIC account, i.e. my name is on the account details. However if the spousal application is linked to my page, is that a problem? Will the applicant have to submit documents using my account (not an issue for me, but is it for them)? or can he open his own GIC account and link the application on his account as well?

I am confused how this works. A bit worried now..

Thank you for replying! Btw, My husband is a Canadian citizen and we used his sign-in partner in paying our fees which is the information is under his name. is this also the one we should use in linking our application?
