hello everyone,

Please give me your suggestion.

I applied my brother visitor visa. he had 1 refusal . but we didn't find his UCI no . I left the UCI No space empty. but he already did biometric last time. should he need to do biometric again.?

I mention his refusal in form IMM5257 SEC 2,B,C. but We made one mistake instead of 2019 I wrote the refusal year 2018.

In that case what We can do... raise webform ? or wait for any email.

Please advise

Family ,
we a couple on work permit here in Canada. I am on my open work permit and wife just applied for her work permit after studies and I applied for extension too ( we are on applied status but our current permits are expiring on March end)

I applied for my dad for my wife’s convocation held on March 3rd 2023.

here is the time line..

13th February -Lodged the visa
13th Feb - Same day biometrics instruction letter
16th Feb- Gave biometrics
16th Feb - Updated same day
17th Feb - Back ground check started
23rd Feb- midnight eligibility review started - it’s changed to ‘ we are reviewing your eligibility’.

Factors

- I applied for my wife’s convocation for my dad
- He funds his trip and only showed 10K CAD
- provided purpose of visit, itinerary, fund letter, invitation letter from me and wife, college convocation letter, invitation letter for graduation, transcripts, completion letter, our current permits, applied status, job letter, our last 6 paystubs, his police check, birth certificates to prove relationship, his passport, deeds, 6 months back statements.

- ties- he is leaving his wife and kids back home( mom n siblings) - one kid is 21 years old and other kid is 17years old who is a minor. So it’s been written in letters using that he will return to them after trip.
Submitted passport copies, birth certificate of mom and siblings and provided marriage certificate for my dad and m

-ties- leaving my business for two weeks n ( submitted photos of business and business registration)

- police certificate and vaccination card

- flight booking confirmation ( itinerary- dummies)

- TRIP IS FOR 2 WEEKS.. dad will return in 14 days back to wife n kids and his business.

this all I submitted…

guys when do you think I will get a decision after eligibility??

What would be a good amount to show for a 2 weeks stay?

you can show a lot of money ,if your application is not genuine ,it won't get approved . I applied for mother and father and did not show any proofs of money from them and neither mine, and they both still got approved and its they're from a third world country. the officers or IRCC are humans, and Canada cares about family, just make them feel the necessity you have to share time with your mom. you left everything behind and moved in Canada, your mom deserves at least a chance to come to see how you're doing here .

it's a ghost email or ghost update, most likely your application has gone to next stage

visit non dependent child, as parents need to fill in details of their children's whereabouts in the application form so u can't hide that point from IRCC

bank statements of applicants is a must, showing enough funds to cover their own expenses and not using all of their savings on the trip as well

bank statements and job letter/salary slips/tax returns of son/daughter in law are secondary proof of funds
however there is no harm in attaching those if they have good bank statements and stable jobs

keep the stay short 2-3 weeks and show enough ties back home to satisfy visa officer that ur clients will return back to Pakistan after the visit is over

do not mention anything relating to helping the new parents in child care coz this leads to refusal automatically

purpose of visit should be strong enough

In addition to what was stated above, to ensure smooth processing of their visitor visa application, your son and/or daughter-in-law should include the following:
1. Notice of Assessment for at least three years.
2. Latest T4s if they have not already filed taxes for 2022.
3. Latest employment letter from their employers showing their salary.
4. Bank statements from Canadian banks showing how much funds your son and/or daughter-in-law have in savings.
5. Monthly bank statements for both for at least 6 months to show your son and/or daughter-in-law have funds consistently in savings.
6. Invitation letter from your son and/or daughter-in-law or both.
7. A copy of the affidavit signed by a notary Canada reaffirming their financial support for your visit.
6. A copy of son and/or daughter-in-law's marriage certificate.
7. Copies of both your son and/or daughter-in-law's Canadian passports (if they are Canadians).
8. Your birth certificate to show they are indeed your parents or some other documentary proof to show they are your parents.

Some other things you can do to speed up the application processing
1. Make sure they have included Biometrics info along with the visa application.
2. Completed medicals and include that info in their visa application.
3. Their financial details back home (assets, pension letters, bank balance etc.)
