My application was received on 27 February and today I received a package, returned to me as incomplete as my wife forgot to check one box in section 4. Both of our applications are stamped dating 27 February. we are asked to send the application back with completed forms, and it also mentions that we can use the same days of presence as used before.
My question is, when I send the application back, is it going to the end of the queue and be considered as received when they receive it now or they use the date when I originally submitted and hope for an AOR soon.

I'm getting anxious myself of getting the application returned as I haven't received the AOR yet.

It will go to the end of the queue. They would have to dig through all mail every day to catch returns from people like you, it's just unfeasible.

Why they did not return it months ago?? Returning after 8 months! Consult a lawyer before sending it back as you don’t want to wait for another 8 months. This is totally unacceptable while they are issuing AoR to June and July applicants.

Why they did not return it months ago?? Returning after 8 months! Consult a lawyer before sending it back as you don’t want to wait for another 8 months. This is totally unacceptable while they are issuing AoR to June and July applicants.

It's because they opened it only after 8 months because of the covid.
Consulting with the lawyer about what exactly? Talking to lawyer will still require sending the application, and every day he does not send his application is a wasted day.
