I applied for my son on 02-June and still no answer.

Today I receive a message telling me that his application was transferred to an immigration center in Etobicoke. I am really intrigued because they approved my PGWP today too.

I applied for visitor record in May 2020. Just got a response. It is aproved until January 4, 2021

so essentially 2 months in case you initially applied for 6?
will you re-apply if cant travel before jan 4?

Yeah, seems like it. And I will probably try to flight if my travel agency finds a flight for me. If not the case, I'll reapply.

5 months. i wonder if they will give 6 months plus a few extra months should you hear from them anytime soon

Let me explain it better. Sorry guys I didn't give all details.
I Applied for my pgwp and my son's visa extension on June 2.
On Dec 9 I receive a letter telling me that my son's application was sent to Etobicoke office, and another letter saying that my pgwp was approved.
So, my son's application still in processing.

Guys, applied for a visitor record in the end of June 2020 before my open work permit based on student spouse expired and did not hear back on the visitor record as of yet. I'm worried at the moment because I only applied for the visitor record until end of Jan 2021 and need to extend it further. Should I apply for another visitor record before the first visitor record application has been decided? If they approve the first visitor record do I have to apply for another visitor record or is the submission of my PR application sufficient for me to stay in Canada? In the meantime, my express entry application has been submitted in October 2020. Can someone please help me out?

i guess you have to wait to get a response on the first extension
if you dont get enough days, apply for another extension
