Hi everyone! I understand that Ontario no longer sends PNPs, so at the moment we are stuck with 429 points. Do you know what other provinces accept applications? We don't speak French.

Thanks for your reply stanlee, what should I select in my "HIGHEST LEVEL OF EDUCATION" should it be higher secondary or 2Yr diplomo course I have completed C.E.C(Inter)

I have CRS score of 273 will be that good enough how much i has to score in IELTS

suggestion you be helpful.
In Express Entry, there is no minimum score that is required to enter the pool, but the applicant should meet the eligibility requirement of one of the economic classes - FSW/CEC/FST. Check this link to know more http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-express.asp.

With regard to your education, I am assuming that C.E.C you are referring to is 12th standard. If yes, then you can select 'secondary diploma (high school graduation)', provided you have got ECA done, otherwise you will have to select 'None or less than secondary (high school) while using the CRS calculator.

IELTS plays an important role in boosting your CRS score, would suggest you to target CLB 9 (LRWS - 8777) and above.

Hi I am new here , and would like to ask some usual doubts

My breakdown
Education (wes verified)
Bachelors 2008-2011
Masters 2013-2015

Work Experience
2010-2012 - 2 years NOC 2281

Ielts
R-7.5
W-6.5
L-7.5
S-7
Total-108

I made the EE profile and got 391 Points , I understand that I need to pump up my Ielts Score to 8 bands in all to get 453.
I had few peculiar doubts ,
1. I am not currently working (not in my hand mate ;no real jobs in India unfortunately) Is it necessary to be working while applying for EE ? - No
If i start working now , in some other field like a consultant which is different from my original NOC code 2281 would they (CIC) count as working ? - Yes, provided it meets the requirement specified in one of the economic classes (FSW/CEC/FST).

2.Once a person gets a ITA notification in EE profile , whats the procedure ? do we have to send the documents of what all they ask somewhere to Canada to certain province or an embassy ,,, or how does it work? What is an AOR i keep hearing this term without knowing ? - You will have to submit an electronic application for PR (eAPR).

AOR stands for Acknowledgement of Receipt of your application.

Check this link to know more about the process post ITA http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/invitations.asp.
Check this link for list of documents that needs to be arranged/prepared http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp.

3.I would like your advice on how to pump up score (No for French , No for Spouse) - In your case IELTS.
4. Any reasonable chance of score drop below 420 or nearby in near future ? - Does not look like. In the past the score for direct ITA never came below 450.

I would like to thank all readers and those who would be answering in advance for their valuable time and patience .

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
How should the exp. certificates look like ?
Where can we find samples ?

It means Ontario is in discussion with the federal government to increase the quota.

If OINP maintains the current eligibility criteria, yes you will be eligible. You will have to wait for OINP to announce their quota for 2017 in November.
Thanks for the reply. In this case what is the right time frame to submit the application.

For OINP (Express Entry) you will have to wait till November 2016 for them to start sending PT NOI again.

Sarat, I think Stanlee has answered your question - you need a Bachelors' to be eligible for Express Entry. Here is the link to check this again:

Hi,

could anyone please help me with the couple of queries:
1) After receiving ITA, where is the option to upload Birth certificate? I can see the CIC website asks to upload all documents like passport, education etc but couldn't find one for Birth Certificate

2) In passport section, do we have to upload previous passport and corresponding non-blank pages as well, to validate the travel history?
Or are we only required to upload most recent passport. (I got address changed hence applied for a new passport)

Really appreciate you guys here, helping out with such minor details, which are hard to find anywhere else on CIC website.

Regards,
Aditya

Hey guys,

whats your take on CIC cut off CRS for coming months?
My personal opinion is that last year's trend could recur http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/past-rounds.asp.
