Dear All
please i have 8 years experience in my country and i would like to calculate my points
when i tried using this tool
.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/ skilled/crs-tool.asp
i got confused ,so in the part of Work Experience i would like to know the difference between
i.How many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have? It must have been paid and full-time (or an equal amount in part-time).
and
ii. How many years of skilled foreign work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.

Thanks a lot..... +1 from me...
Hi there
I've done a lot of research and I'm gonna start my PR application soon. I already did my English test and it went well. I've been working for the same company for almost two years now (May 6th) so is 23 months now. I am an engineer and I have LMO until the end of November 2016. I roughly check my points and it looks like it's going to be about 1041. I don't have Canadian school but I have masters in mechanical and material ingeeneering (5 years) from Poland.
I don't really have much spare time (work all the time) so I was wondering if any of you nice people, use a lawyer? Can you please advice if it's necessary in my situation?
Thank you
Johny: Using a lawyer could help if you want some advice, but you will find you are STILL doing a lot of it by yourself as you have to provide all the documentation to the lawyer instead of the CIC. If money is not an issue, then get help, but if you can think of other things you would rather do with a few thousand dollars, I think you can easily get this job done yourself. Another consideration would be to get it together and have a lawyer review your application for completeness. I do think it is important to understand the process. Forum can also be a fantastic source of information.
Dear Experts,
I submitted my EE on January. Below is my current status:
Application/profile status Open
Province/Territory Nomination No nomination at this time
Job Bank Registration Accepted
Review of Minimum Entry Criteria Met
ITA Status No invitation at this time
and
Overall Score 332
In the past 10 years, I have more than 7 years of experience. All my experiences are in NOC 2174 (6 months), 2171(2 years and 3 Months), 2172 (4 years and 4 months). However, in the CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience, I got 0. Is it OK?
By the way, in the Work History, for question Does XXX have any work history?, I putted answer yes but did not put From to etc (this is because I thought below table should be filled for that history). Therefore, in below Table (where individual employment history should be putted as row) I putted each of my Employment Histories. Is it OK? One more thing, for past 3 years, I am doing my PhD.
My question is: should I fill From to To filed below of Does XXX have any work history?. Since I have several employers, what should I put at Employer/company name? Actually this is why I filled the Table.
I have beachlor's degree and 1 year graduate study degree according to WES report. Based on this in EE education section i selected 'Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees...' option and claimed 119 points.
have i selected a correct option? (Keeping in mind the WES analysis)
Please guide me....

I believe you have selected the correct option.. btw.. you need to include both of them in your application.. For bachelor u need to select bachelor and for 1 year graduate degree, two or more...

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
But...
(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)
1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp
2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.
How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp
3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp
4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.
5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng
You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp
You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp
Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp
For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.
6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:
a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp
b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp
d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp
e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.
f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

You can create profile but shouldn't submit, otherwise, system will inform you that you are ineligible..

Thanks friend for the reply. i selected the two and more degree option only. I thought in this option both the degrees are included...

Yes.. That could be.. But I preferred to include all those Degrees that i Sent for ECA.. I have 4 years B Sc Engg and 2 years Masters (MBA) as evaluated by WES, and I included both.. I could have selected only Masters and claimed points for that.. But my Bachelor and Master's are from different field.. so had to include both.. ofcourse, it should not be any issue if you select last degree to claim points..
