Not acceptable. Better to keep PoF limited to bank deposits and fixed deposits to be on safer side.
Incorrect- EPF is also a safe option, and many here have tried this route. Please search the thread for EPF as Proof of Funds.
can LIC policy be shown as Pof?
I don't think LIC policy can be shown as a PoF. Strictly speaking LIC policy will return your investment at maturity or at the loss of your life. Neither position provide liquidity of money to be used in Canada to sustain your cost of living.
Hello friends
I have a question. when writing the reference Letter do you need to state the value of the Benefits you receive from your employer?
Thanks in Advance
Teresia
Reference letter mainly verifies your date of joining, job title, hours worked, job duties and responsibilities and your gross salary / Cost To Company / Wage Rate. No need to include money equivalent of other benefits. You can always attach your joining letter mentioning your benefits, salary slips, annual bonuses etc. in support of your employment as a proof of your work experience for that particular employer.
Hi
My partner and myself have joint bank account and we recently met the required amount for 2 persons (which is around 15000 CAD). I am just wondering if we can show the bank statements of joint bank account to show POF or bank statements have to be on principal applicant name? The required amount have to be in account for 6 months or it does not matter.
Anticipating generous response.
Joint Account Bank Statements are acceptable. Me and my wife have a joint account. The bank statement contains both our name and so does the proof of funds letter issued by our bank.
In our proof of funds letter issued by our bank, it mentions 6 months average balance. Since CIC asks for 6 months average balance, they want to make sure that the candidate have sufficient funds and have not borrowed money from someone just to show that they have funds. If you have received lump-sum funds from someone it's better to get a gift deed and explain that in your LoE

Usually this BG reflects that you are in IP2 stage, but it happens after MEP (Medicals Passed)

Well, I submitted my application on 8th May and today, 16th May, the application was updated. My UCI number from previous work permit has been allotted. However, my medical reports AND Background check is under review. I have read that the BG check doesn't start unless Medical exam has been cleared. Any thoughts on this?
The common understanding is that first stage gate is Medical Exam Passed (MEP) and then rest of stage gates (IP1/IP2/NA2 etc.) However many are of the opinion that there is no linearity in the status changes.
Hi all
I would require a help.
I have maintained a fd from last July 2017. What all should I submit as pof. I believe it should be the fd receipt and bank letter. Will they ask bank statement ?? What all the additional documents will the cic normally ask.
Also can I withdraw fd after getting the latest bank letter and submitting the documents to cic.
Hello guys.. Need some advice here..
As
@Jakev advised that there is no standard way in which visa officer verifies reference letter... Can anybody shed some more light on this aspect as to how visa officer verifies the reference letter? Do they use contact details as mentioned in reference letter or they approach Hr deptt. directly. Or, are there any other methods? Please advise. Any advice would be of great help.

Usually they contact employer only if they see some discrepancy or reason to suspect employer/reference letters supplied, paystubs etc. Mostly they check for information available in public domain if it matches with letters, like name, contact of company and such things. Contacting employer is not a norm which is followed in all cases. It is at the discretion of Case officer reviewing the file.

Hi all,
I just got my bank statements for submitting my eAPR purpose. They provided me statement in different parts, quarterly statement basically. Is it ok or do we need to submit 6 months statements together???
Also, average balance isn't mentioned anywhere in bank statements. Is it ok??
Which immigration consultancy is best in India for Canada Permanent Residency. I know some few trusted Immigration Consultancy are Vmakevisa, Visas Avenue, Aptech Visa. Please guide me which how can i migrate Canada Via Express Entry System. and want to know i am eligible for Canada PR.

Thanks. Yes, I would like to agree with that. My profile updated as "You passed the medical exam" yesterday. The Background Check reads "We are processing your background check". As you mentioned earlier, this verbiage means IP2. Just wondering what happened to IP1,NA1, etc.
My application is still new. Been just 10 days from submission. FSW-Outland USA. Any thoughts on this?
