Hello,
I have a question regarding the job requirements for a NOC. In job requirements for 0124 Advertising, marketing and public relations managers it says:

Employment requirements
Advertising and public relations managers

  • A university degree ... and Several years of experience in an advertising, public...
I was wondering if this requirement is for all job titles under this NOC? If directors are higher than managers, so it is likely that these requirements are for directors, too. Right?

I have chosen "sales and marketing director" (one of the job titles under this NOC) as my job title in my pre-ITA application. I did not see this experience requirement at that time and I had not have any job experience before my work.

Should I change my NOC in my post-ITA application with an LOE to a different NOC (and different skill type like 1123), which does not require experience? Is changing the skill type from 0 to A problematic?

I really appreciate any help!
Thanks!
My understanding is that CIC matches job duties and responsibilities to the NOC code (not the job title). My sister applied with Marketing Manager, and Marketing Executive both against 0124. Titles vary from company to company and are inflated in various industries like banking where every 3rd person is a assistant vice president.
You can change your NOC post ITA in your eAPR. No need to mention this in your LOE. LOE is for covering things in your application eAPR that hasn't been covered elsewhere or situation that you need to provide an explanation.
0 to A is not problematic in my opinion. NOC Class 0,A,B,C,D etc. are used as a filtering criteria in my opinion. For Example Class C and D may be a cook or a mason and not allowed under EE.
This is of course my opinion only I am not an immigration lawyer, others can comment.

I sent all my degrees BE from India and MBA from US. My wife also send all her degrees.
I heard/read some people just sending their Masters for evaluation. But I played it "safe" and sent all my education (Btech/MBA) just because I paid money for it, so might as well get everything evaluated. More bang for the buck :D

Hi, I am going to apply for an ITA, and am in a dilemma regarding Proof of Experience.
I have 1 year 10 months experience in my current org. and 1 year 3 months experience in my previous organization.
However, my previous organization has refused to provide me a proof of experience as required by CIC (they are willing to provide just an experience letter stating duration and position).
Should I input 3 years as my experience (gives me 473 points) or enter 1 or 2 year only (448 points)

Does CIC consider and provide points for 1 year experience, if I enter 3 years and fail to show for full 3 years, but show for 1 year as per their requirement?
1) Ask your previous company that if possible print the job description on a letter head (job duties and responsibilities are the most important aspect as NOC code is matched against them)
2) What I did was that I drafted the letter myself and send those to my company HR. It took not of negotiation and explaining but I got the letter in 1-2 months. You should do the same. Write down a letter and simply ask them to get a printout on a letterhead. Explain to them that no one is going to check it. Worst case scenario they may get a call from CIC to confirm your employment with them - which they shouldn't have a problem
3) CIC will consider 1 year of experience but you get less CRS points. You get maximum points for experience if you can show 3 or more years of experience.

NOC Code......
2174
Well, I submitted my application on 8th May and today, 16th May, the application was updated. My UCI number from previous work permit has been allotted. However, my medical reports AND Background check is under review. I have read that the BG check doesn't start unless Medical exam has been cleared. Any thoughts on this?

Hi
My partner and myself have joint bank account and we recently met the required amount for 2 persons (which is around 15000 CAD). I am just wondering if we can show the bank statements of joint bank account to show POF or bank statements have to be on principal applicant name? The required amount have to be in account for 6 months or it does not matter.

Anticipating generous response.

It is not advisable. POF also means "can be liquidated" right now. Bank generates a report on their letterhead mentioning the amount of money that you have in your account along with the statement of 1 month (in case of Direct invitation) and 3-6 months (in case of PNP).

The letterhead document will be your POF. You can attach MF, PF and other source of funds as well however the amount should not be big. Major portion should be in Savings Account. (my experience only).
can LIC policy be shown as Pof?
